If you think you have installed a lot of applications on your machine check out the screenshot found in a japanese blog of an AppFresh user. We do not understand what he thinks about it, but more than 500 installed applications including 41 preference panes is sure more than we had ever expected. If you have installed even more, please send in some screenshots!
I get a little scared if I think what this screenshot will look like as soon as application extensions, plugins and widgets are supported, but i really want to know. We hope to get this done by the end of the week along with other improvements to version detection to get the number of unkown state applications down.

Guys, just wanted to thank you on one of the best freeware applications I have ever used. The user interface is fantastic and only second to function. Keep up the great work.
Thanks again,
Matt

I agree; I pressed command-I by mistake, and AppFresh started updating ALL apps, one of them being GraphicConverter.
Then these pictures/adds started popping up on my desktop.
Thomas, please tell us what you are trying to do, here.

Thoase are not AppFresh banners. Its a known problem when updating GraphicConverter. We need to locate the download url (since this is internally not a link to a binary but only a html page) using our Download Locator window. This is using Apple Webkit and somehow the GraphicConverter website content is not drawn within the Webkit view. Right now you need to skip GraphicConverter so we have some time to fix this.
This is not wanted and the banners are not related to AppFresh. Sorry for getting this impression.

Me too, thanks.. its working fine here. Just what is needed to find those apps which don’t warn you!

I love the idea of AppFresh, but there needs to be an option to show only apps that need updating.

I was a bit too fast.. something odd going on with some downloads.
They appear to download but then can’t be found on the Desktop or in an alternative set in prefs.. ?

Known issue. Might be because of license agreements in dmg files. This will be fixed with the next version.

There is an option to show only the apps that need upgrading. It’s VERY hard to miss.

Following our call for far-more-than-remotely-reasonable-number-of-applications-installed screenshots, Joachim Bengtsson has sent in a new record that’s nearly 300 applications ahead of the last featured screenshot. Congratulations, Joachim, and keep

FYI, I’m not showing any downloads at all. I tried to download a good two dozen apps and nothing showed up, even though AppFresh tells me they downloaded successfully. I tried three different locations including the default Desktop.

I have about 70 applications installed and I think that is too much. 500 is really an enormous number!
