reported crash in Leopard….via email. found this thread and tried removing plist file. no change…still crashes. sent crashlog via email….please contact me if more info is needed. happy to test interim builds

I had the same problem after installing 10.5 general release from the DVD. AppFresh would quit unexpectedly. After removing the referenced file, AppFresh started fine and checked my system and checked and updated status for all the apps. Thanks again for this app. Very nice!

Hi,

the current version of AppFresh doesn’t do well on Leopard (official release). Upon launching it, it invariably quits.

The correct option is indeed suggested by poster Tedi above: delete the sqlite file in Application Support and start again.

Hi,

Current version (0.54 preview) did not work in my MBP after upgrading 10.4 to current 10.5 ADC build.

After removing ~/Library/Application Support/AppFresh/PersistentStore.sqlite it seems to be working OK. Just to inform you…

By the way, I think this is a great application you are releasing to the entire community, so if you feel there is something users can do to help on it, please let us know.

BTW, I’m specialized in testing… is there anywhere I can post bugs?

Actual version (0.5.4) crashes every time on PPC G5 iMac (10.4.10), never finishes one full search (crash at #304 or so).
Deleted prefs and folder in ~/Application Support, no change…

Great app, except well this version has a very bad bug where it only seems to detect the Apple updates. Everything else is marked as unknown, and will never get updated.

This version of AppFresh doesn’t seem to work on my IntelMini, only the Apple software is checked, but none of the other applications. I’ve removed all files and folders with appfresh in their name, and installed the application again, but to no avail…

Thats a little more tricky, but we’ll have a look at it. We could probably set up aliases, but that only works for apps without different version branches set up at iusethis.
